Daniel Bard Scoreless Streak Still Alive

The Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox earlier this afternoon 5-3 to take the rubber game in the best of three series in Chicago. Daniel Bard pitched another 1 1/3 scoreless innings to extend his scoreless innings pitched streak to 26 1/3. The Major League record is held by Orel Hershiser when he did not let up a run for 60 straight innings while pitching for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Boston Red Sox return home for a four-game series with the Cleveland Indians before the New York Yankees come to town for a crucial three-game series.
